Evolution of Professional Boards
Advancing Allied Health in Pakistan
Council introduced several bodies “Boards” for various services, introduced, promoted, advocated degree courses of allied health in Pakistan. Council maintains a register for certain allied healthcare professionals. The board as being highest professional body of its domain may prescribe updates, changes, content, teaching or training methodologies, addional courses where necessary. The founder members are heads of all boards are full members with voting rights. Decisions are made with simple majority. The member comes from boards of registration remains for the term of four years
Professional Boards
Each Profession has Autonomous Board. The boards are professional bodies consist of elected members from among relevant disciplines of AHS. Boards register duly qualified Professionals who fulfill prescribed registration requirements , renew and upgrade registration status of registered Professionals. Each board is elected for four year initially board members were nominated by founder members. The term is four year. Board members prescribe code of ethics and standards of practice. Members of this body assist academic board to prescribe time to time changes necessary for up dating the education and training through curricula up gradation.
Academic Services
Members of this Council worked very hard in Curriculum development for the Famous Government Universities initially. Academic body is also known as Academic Board. It has various responsibilities such as academic advisory & Advocacy, initiating and encouraging Research, supervising various researches, approving topics, ethics committee etc. All members are nominated No term or tenure is prescribed for members of this body.
Legal Department
Legal Department of this Council is Headed By a senior Advocate of High Court. Deals legal matters of this council
Executive Body: The Founder members and Heads of All Boards are full members with voting rights. Decisions are made with simple majority. The Member comes from boards of registration remains for the term of four year.
